Happy Mother's Day

I wish I could be there to celebrate and enjoy a nice meal with the woman who has helped me be the person I am today.

 She reminds me always that the world is a tough place, but we always have the ability to soften it.

She reminds me that it’s okay to crumble, in the safety of her voice, but to pick up the pieces quickly and build anew.

She reminds me of where I come from and who I am, and spells out the reason I live in harmony with my feelings and drives, that only she could understand.

Our late night talks, shared laughs and frustrations. We know we are the real deal women, and we don’t take No for an answer.

What a blessing to always have her, as my mom in this life.

She is helping me build a new life :  to become a doctor.

I can’t wait to make you proud one day.
